====== additional instructions ====== If you did not install SQL Server as default instance (if it is installed as named instance) do the following 1)In **SQL Server Configuration Manager**, expand **SQL Server Network Configuration**, expand **Protocols for //instance_name//**, and then double-click **TCP/IP**. 2)In the **TCP/IP Properties** dialog box, on the **IP Addresses** tab, several IP addresses appear in the format IP1, IP2, up to IPAll. In the **IPAll** section - if the **TCP Dynamic Ports** dialog box contains **0**, indicating the Database Engine is listening on dynamic ports, **delete the 0**. 3)In the **IPAll section** in the **TCP Port box**, type the port number you want this IP address to listen on (for example 5232 or any other number), and then click **OK** 4) Restart server by clicking on **SQL Server Services**, right click on **SQL Sever (//instance_name//)** and select **Restart** from the context menu 5)Allow access to this port via firewall using command like **netsh firewall set portopening TCP 5232 “SQLServer2012PDB”**
