Installing on the Server of Organisation

If your organisation already has SQL Server 2008R2 or 2012 installed - ask IT resposible to perform for this server Step 2 of instructions for installing of database on local computer. Most probably he/she will need to modify inst.bat file as described in the section “Advanced” of the Step 2.

Depending on the organisation’s policy IT responsible might want you to use Windows Authentication or SQL Server Authentication to access database. In the of case SQL Server Authentication IT responsible will need to add account to the newly created database and tell you the login and password for this account. Tell to IT responsible that this account need to have both read and write access to newly created database.

IT responsible also have to provide you the name (for example MYORGDB) or IP address (for example 100.201.302.403) of the server you will connect to acess database. If SQL Server of your organisation is installed as named instance then IT responsible have to provide you also the port number (for example MYORGDB:5232) .
