This is an old revision of the document!
The context page is the start page for Ecolego Player. It allows you to create, open or save assessments and to set up the assessment context.
The menu for the context page has buttons for creating and saving assessments, as well as buttons for adding contaminants and other indices.
New | Creates a new, empty, assessment. When you create an empty assessment, you build your model in the model window by combining components from the library.
Open | Opens a model or an assessment.
Save | Saves the current assessment.
Save As | Saves the current assessment with a new name.
Add Contaminant | Adds a new contaminant to the assessment context.
Preferences | Adds an index to the simulation context. |
This part of the screen allows you to describe your assessment and to attach relevant documents.
The two lists show all contaminants/materials that are available. By clicking contaminants in either list, you can select or deselect contaminants to be included in the assessment. Contaminants which are deselected are disactivated instead of being removed from the assessment. This means that if you enter input data for a specific contaminant, but want to run a simulation without it, you can safely deselect it without loss of information.
Lists are empty before excisting model is opened.
Contaminants can be added to the assessment by clicking on the Add Contaminant button in the menu. A window will appear where you enter the name and type of contaminant. When you add a radionuclide, you select the element and the atomic number. The radionuclide will then be imported from the built-in radionuclide database.
This option will only be available for models where secondary listings of dependencies have been defined. Such a listing could be, for instance, biota, target age groups or food types. Each secondary listing will be listed behind tabs. You select the tab for a specific listing, and a similar listing as for contaminants will appear.
To add a new index, you must first select which listing of indices to modify by clicking it’s corresponding tab. After, click the Add Index button in the menu and enter a name for the new index.
